You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve by completing the square:
x^2 + 6x + 1 = 0
---------
x^2+6x+? = -1+?
x^2+6x + [(1/2)6]^2 = -1 + [(1/2)6]^2
x^2+6x+9 = -1+9
Factor:
(x+3)^2 = 8
Take the square root of both sides to get:
x+3 = 2sqrt2 or x+3 = -2sqrt2
x = -3+2sqrt2 or x = -3-2sqrt2
