Question 1092504: The net revenue for a certain car company (in billions of dollars) between the three years 2007 and 2012 is approx. by R(x)=-0.657x^3+10.5x^2-153.9x+416.8, where x=7 corresponds to the year 2007.
What is the revenue in 2009?
I tried this way: 2009-2007=2 than add 7+2=9 and insert 9 instead of X, but that's not correct, so I don't know how to do it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

If x=7 corresponds to year 2007, then x=9 corresponds to year 2009. So you are doing the right thing.

Do you know what the answer is supposed to be, and you are getting a different answer? Try performing the calculation again; maybe you made an error in your calculations the first time.

Or maybe your answer is right, and the answer you think you are supposed to get is wrong....

By the way, are you sure you have the revenue function right? The function you show has the company losing hundreds of billions of dollars every year.

(Maybe the "company" is the US treasury...? LOL)
