You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
The rate of the old machine is 1000%2F5 chocs per hour.

The rate of the new machine is 1000%2F3 chocs per hour.

Their combined rate is 1000%2F5+%2B+1000%2F3 = 3000%2F15+%2B+5000%2F15 = 8000%2F15 chocs per hour.

It will take 20000%2F%28%288000%2F15%29%29 = %2820000%2A15%29%2F8000 = 37.5 hours to make 20000 chocs working together.

Answer. 37.5 hours.

Solved.
