You can put this solution on YOUR website! using the law of cosines
:
A^2 = 30^2 + 14^2 - 30 * 14 * cos(48) = 814.9651
:
A = square root(814.9651) = 28.5476
:
perimeter of triangle(P) = 30 + 14 + 28.5476 = 72.5476
:
using Heron's formula for the area of a triangle
:
s = P/2 = 72.5476 / 2 = 36.2738
:
Area of triangle = square root( 36.2738 * (36.2738 - 30) * (36.2738 - 14) * (36.2738 - 28.5476) ) = 197.8983

Area of non-right triangle, with 2 KNOWN sides and an INCLUDED angle:
Calculate that and you should get:
Someone responded by writing a "novel" of a solution and got an answer of 197.9.
Just to let you know, and if you haven't noticed by now, this is INCORRECT/WRONG/RIDICULOUS, etc.,
and should be TOTALLY IGNORED, along with the written "novel."
