Question 1090241: how do you find a pattern in a non linear functions?
Answer by dennisrizelleruiz(5) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! You may want to only new that a linear was y=x, y=kx where k is constant number like y=1x, y=2x, y=3x, y=10x, and so forth and so on. In addition, y=k when k is constant number like y=1, y=2, y=3, y=10, y=45, and so forth and so on. Therefore, the only linear function were x, kx, and k.
Rmember the graph goes straight line continuously.
If it was a sequence and series, then you may want to use the formula y=a+(n-1)d where a is the first term such as y=2n substituting the n by 1 which represents number of term like 1 means 1st term, gives you 2 which is the first term; lastly the d represents the difference like the distance of the number with each other.
