You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The drop of oil has a volume of
V%5Bd%5D=%284%2F3%29pi%2810%5E3%29
The radius of the oil film needs to be convert to mm for consistency.
10cm=100mm
The cylindrical film has a volume of,
V%5Bcf%5D=pi%2A%28100%29%5E2%2Ah
Set the two equal to each other,
V%5Bd%5D=V%5Bcf%5D
%284%2F3%29pi%2810%5E3%29=pi%2A%28100%29%5E2%2Ah
h=%284%2F3%29%28%2810%5E3%29%2F%28100%5E2%29%29
Work that out for the height in mm.

A spherical drop of oil with diameter 3 mm falls on water surface and produces a circular oil film of radius 10 cm.
Calculate the thickness of oil film.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The drop of oil has a volume of  V%5Bd%5D=%284%2F3%29pi%281.5%5E3%29 cubic millimeters.
The radius of the oil film needs to be convert to mm for consistency. 10 cm = 100 mm
The cylindrical film has a volume of  V%5Bcf%5D=pi%2A%28100%29%5E2%2Ah cubic millimeters.
Set the two equal to each other,
V%5Bd%5D=V%5Bcf%5D
%284%2F3%29pi%281.5%5E3%29=pi%2A%28100%29%5E2%2Ah
h=%284%2F3%29%28%281.5%5E3%29%2F%28100%5E2%29%29 millimeters.
Work that out for the height in mm.
