Assuming side a is opposite angle A:
tan(A) = a/b

Draw out the triangle

The known side (b = 8) and the unknown side (side 'a') are legs of the right triangle.

We will use the tangent function.

tan(angle) = opposite/hypotenuse
tan(A) = a/b
tan(29) = a/8
8*tan(29) = a
a = 8*tan(29)
a = 4.43447241162216
a = 4.4

Therefore side 'a' is roughly 4.4 units long
