Tammy is 50 years old and her daughter Laurel is 7 years old.
In how many years will 6 times Laurel's age be 2 years more
than Tammy's age?
Let the answer be y years

In y years, Tammy will be 50+y.
In y years, her daughter Laurel will be 7+y.

6(7+y) = (50+y)+2

You finish. Solve for y.
