Because of the part circle markings, the measure of angles AFB and CFD are equal. Also, the measures of angles BFC and DFE are equal. Since mCFD = mAFB = 31 degrees, the sum of the two must be 62 degrees, since angle AFD is 90 degrees and is the sum of angles AFB, BFC, and CFD, a little arithmetic tells us that angle BFC must measure 28 degrees, and therefore angle DFE also measures 28. Add the measures of CFD and DFE to find the measure of CFE. The diagram was purposely not drawn to scale in order to discourage guessing.
