Their ages now are 3:5. Let x be the common multiplier. Then:
3x+6/5x+6=3/4
15x+18=12x+24
3x=6
x=2
John is 3(2), or 6. Samy is 5(2), or 10.
In 6 years, John will be 12, and Samy will be 16. ☺☺☺☺
