Solve for x

          2logx = 2

Divide both sides by 2

           logx = 1

Now we use the fact that log equation

           logA = B

is equivalent to exponential equation

              A = 10B

So the log equation

           logx = 1

is equivalent to the exponential equation

              x = 101

So            x = 10
