You can put this solution on YOUR website! It helps to draw this. x=width
 2x=length
 area of pool is 2x^2.
 the width of the pool + walkway is (x+4)(2x+4)=2x^2+12x+16
 subtract from that 2x^2, the area of the pool, and the walkway has area 12x+16
 This equals 196 ft^2
 Therefore, 12x=180
 x=15 feet
 2x=30 feet
 the pool is 450 ft^2, 15 x 30 feet
 the whole complex is 19 x 34=646 ft^2.
 The difference is 196 ft^2.
