LET X BE THE SMALLER NUMBER & X+1 THE LARGER NUMBER.
X+1=7+2X
X-2X=7-1
-X=6
X=-6 ANSWER FOR THE SMALLER NUMBER.
-7+1=-6 ANSWER FOR THE LARGER NUMBER.
PROOF
-6+1=7+(2*-6)
-5=7-12
-5=-5
