P = Paul's current age
M = Mim's current age
P = M-12
P + 23 = 2(M-19)
Set top eqn equal to bottom, to eliminate P:
M-12 = 2M-38-23
M = -12+38+23 = 49

Ans: Mim is currently 49 years old

Check: M=49 —> P=37
In 23 years, P=60 and that is 2*(49-19) = 2*(30) (ok)
