You can put this solution on YOUR website!
i believe you mean 75% of y.

i read the problem as:

if 30% of 50% of x is equal to 60% of y minus 75% of y, then what is the value of x in terms of y.

30% of 50% of x is equal to .3 * .5 * x which is equal to .15 * x.

60% of y minus 75% of y is equal to .6 * y - .75 * y which is equal to -.15 * y.

your equation becomes .15 * x = -.15 * y

solve for x to get x = (-.15 * y) / .15

this makes x = -y

for example:

if -y = 100, then x = 100 because x = -y

go back to your original equation.

it states that 30% of 50% of x is equal to 60% of y minus 75% of y.

when -y = 100, solve for y to get y = -100

when y = -100, 60% of y minus 75% of y becomes 60% of -100 minus 75% of -100 which becomes .6 * -100 minus .75 * -100 which becomes -60 minus -75 which becomes -60 plus 75 which becomes 15.

your problem statement therefore becomes 30% of 50% of x is equal to 15 which becomes .3 * .5 * x = 15 which becomes .15 * x = 15.

solve for x to get x = 15 / .15 which becomes x = 100.

you have x = 100 and y = -100

when y = -100, -y = 100

this gets you x = --y
