You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hi there,
The amount of water used take a shower is directly proportional to the amount of time the shower is in use
A = k T (A = Amount of water. k = factor of proportionality and T = Time)
Using given results to calculate k
9 = k18
k = 9/18
k = 0.5
Formula: A = 0.5T
Using formula to calculate question:
A = 0.5 x 6
A = 3
Amount = 3 gallons of water.
Hope this helps :-)
