If the width is "w" inches and the perimeter is 100 inches, then the length is (50-w) inches and the area is w*(50-w) = 50w - w^2 square inches,

which is totally different from your expression.


So, your formulation is wrong and does not deserve further consideration.


Now I have only one question: for what reason do you litter the forum with wrong formulation ??????????
