The digit of two digit numbers are interchanged the new number is 45 more than the original number. If the difference between the digit is 5.what is the original number
With T being the tens digit and U the units digit, the equation becomes: 11T - 11T = 50 - 50 ======> 0 = 0
This means that all digits that differ by 5 can be that number. In other words, the number can be 16, 27, 38, or 49.
You should notice that the UNITS digit is larger in all since the interchanged number is LARGER.
