Question 1082676: Could you please help solve the following, and find the value of 'x':
1.0165^x-((1.0165-1)/2) = 1.0074^x
I think the solution is through the use of logarithms. I have tried for some time to solve it, and have searched the internet for guidance but cannot find anything that helps. It is the method I am particularly interested in understanding. Many thanks in anticipation.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Assuming this is the problem
1.0165%5Ex-%28%281.0165-1%29%2F2%29+=+1.0074%5Ex
1.0165%5Ex-1.0074%5Ex+=%28%281.0165-1%29%2F2%29
1.0165%5Ex-1.0074%5Ex+=+.00825
1.0165 - 1.0074 = .0091, therefore x has to be very close to 1, but I am not sure how you would calculate this, graphically
+graph%28+300%2C+200%2C+-4%2C+4%2C+-.1%2C+.1%2C+1.0165%5Ex-1.0074%5Ex-.00825+%29+
