You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Similar triangles?
Set up a ratio.
Base 1/Height 1=Base 2/Height 2
In your case,
15%2F9=12%2FH
H%2815%2F9%29=12 Multiply both sides by H.
H=%2812%2A9%29%2F15 Multiply both side by 9/15.
H=36%2F5 Simplify.
The height is 36/5 or 7.2.
