You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There are eight more girls than boys in a particular class.
g = b + 8
3/5 of the boys and 1/3 of the girls were born in Georgia.
If the number of boys that were born in Georgia is equal to the number of girls that were born in Georgia,
3%2F5b = 1%2F3g
Cross multiply
9b = 5g
b = 5%2F9g
Using the 1st equation, replace b with 5%2F9g
g = 5%2F9g + 8
multiply eq by 9, cancel the denominator
9g = 5g + 72
9g - 5g = 72
4g = 72
g = 18 girls, then obviously we have 10 boys
:
how many students boys and girls together in that class were born in Georgia?

Correction:
3%2F5(10) = 6 boys
1%2F3(18) = 6 girls

Tot from Georgia 12 students
