You can put this solution on YOUR website!
in 1 hour E. picks 40/11 bushels and Jasmine picks 5.
in x hours (40x/11)+5x=50
(95/11)x=50
multiply by 11
95x=550
x=5.79 hours

It's the SAME JOB each is doing, so 40 bushels is considered A JOB, or 1 JOB
Eugene does 1%2F11 of the job in 1 hour, and Jasmine does 1%2F8 of the job in 1 hour
Let time both take, working together, be T
Therefore, we get: 1%2F11+%2B+1%2F8+=+1%2FT
8T + 11T = 88
19T = 88
T, or time both take = highlight_green%28matrix%281%2C4%2C+88%2F19%2C+or%2C+4%2612%2F19%2C+hours%29%29
