You can put this solution on YOUR website! Raphael’s father is four times as old as Raphael.
f = 4r
Six years ago, Raphael’s father was ten times as old Raphael.
f - 6 = 10(r-6)
f - 6 = 10r - 60
f = 10r - 60 + 6
f = 10r - 54
Replace f with 4r, and solve for r
:
How old is Raphael now?
:
:
The sum of the age of Ephraim and his father is 56.
e + f = 56
If Ephraim’s father is six times as old as Ephraim,
f = 6e
in the first equation replace f with 6e, solve for e
how old is Ephraim now?
