Question 1080918: Using the coordinates (-4,3), (6,8) to define a straight line: find the value of y when x=20 and find the coordinates of the x and y intercept

You can put this solution on YOUR website! slope is change in y/change in x
=5/10=1/2
point slope formula for equation of line y-y1=m(x-x1), m slope, (x1,y1) point
y-8=(1/2)(x-6)
y=(1/2)x+5
y intercept is (0,5)
x-intercept is when (1/2)x=-5, x=-10 so (-10,0)
When x=20, y=10+5=15
