You can put this solution on YOUR website!
point J is at -10
point K is at 23

the distance between them is 33 units.

33/3 = 11

2 times 11 = 22

add 22 to -10 and you get 12.

the point is 12.

we'll call that point L

you get the line segment JK is composed of 2 line segment JL and LK

point J is at -10
point L is at 12
point K is at 23

the length of line segment JL is 22
the length of line segment LK is 11

the ratio of the length of line segment JL to the line segment LK is 22/11 = 2/1 which is the same as 2:1.
