You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In a park, the ratio of the number of children playing cricket to the number of children playing football is same as ratio of the number of children playing football to the number of children cycling.
If 45 childrens are playing cricket and 30 are playing football find the number of children cycling, find the number of children cycling.
:
let f = no. of children playing football
then
45:f is the ratio of cricket to football
:
let c - no. of children cycling
then
30:c is ratio of football to cycling
:
We are told the ratios are the same, therefore:
45%2Ff = 30%2Fc
we know the number playing football = 30, therefore
45%2F30 = 30%2Fc
Cross multiply
45c = 30*30
45c = 900
c = 900/45
c = 20 kids cycling
