Question 107998: One side of a rectangular pasture is 80 ft in length. The diagonal distance is 110 yd. If fencing costs $3.29 per foot, how much will it cost to fence the pasture?
I know that perimeter is 2L*2W, but this gives a diagonal distance. How do you figure that and how do you change yds to ft??
Please help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
there are 3 feet in a yard, so the diagonal is 330 ft ... the two sides and the diagonal form a right triangle

let x="missing side" ... x^2+80^2=330^2
