Question 107974This question is from textbook Precalculus
: Hi,
Please help me solve: S(t)=200[1-(0.86)^t]
I've used the 10 hours for time to start S(10)
and the result I have is S(10)=200[14].
I haven't found out what to do with the brackets or what they mean.
I am also supposed to turn this into an exponetial and and logarithmic function for graphing. But I'm stuck at the start.
I need this solved for an overdue assignment - Please help!
Thanks,
Marisa

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When a number is next to a bracket without a + or - sign between them you multiply. work on innermost brackets first.
If t=10
S(10)=200[1-(0.86)^10]
=200[1-(.7396)]
=200[.2604]
=52.08
