show me the steps to solve it?
-2a^2-5ab-2b^2
---------------------
= -(2a^2+5ab+2b^2)
= -(2a^2+4ab+ab+2b^2)
= -(2a(a+2b)+b(a+2b))
= -(a+2b)(2a+b)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-2A^2-5AB-2B^2
TO MAKE THESE TERMS MORE MANAGEABLE. MULTIPLY ALL THESE TERMS BY -1
2A^2+5AB+2B^2 NOW FACTOR: ARRANGE THE FACTORS OF 2 (1 & 2) SO THAT THE 2 PRODUCTS ARE = 2 AND THE SUM IS 5. [2*2+1*1=4+1=5] & [1*2=2 & 1*2=2]
(2A+B)(A+2B)

-1 is common to all terms

factors of 2a^2 are (2a) and (a) ... factors of 2b^2 are (2b) and (b)
... factors have to FOIL to give 5ab

(-1)(2a+b)(a+2b)
