Question 107862: I have no idea here. There are to many varibles. Can you please explaine
Find a linear equation in the form P = mt + b (y = mx + b), which gives the population, P, t years from 2010. 4000 starting poulation increases by 200 a year. in 30 years what would the population be.
This is all I can think of 200(30)+b(y=200+b)
Thank you for your time

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find a linear equation in the form P = mt + b (y = mx + b), which gives the population, P, t years from 2010. 4000 starting poulation increases by 200 a year. in 30 years what would the population be.
This is all I can think of 200(30)+b(y=200+b)
----------------
Equation Form: P(t) = mt + b
---------------
Your problem:
P(t) = 200(t-2010)+4000
--------
Thirty years after 2010 the population will be
P(2040) = 200(2040-2010)+4000
P(2040) = 200(30)+4000
P(2040) = 6000+4000 = 10,000
