Two angles,alpha and beta, are supplementary when they add up to 180 degrees.
alpha%2Bbeta=180....eq.1
if an angle (let's say alpha) measures 124° more than the measure of a supplementary angle (beta), we know that

alpha=beta+%2B124.....eq.2
substitute alpha from eq.2 in eq.1
beta+%2B124%2Bbeta=180....eq.1
2beta=180-124
2beta=56
beta=56%2F2
beta=28°
and,alpha=beta+%2B124=>alpha=28+%2B124=>alpha=152°
