"carry out the indicated operations and simplify"
the answer in the back of the book is x^4-2x^2y^2+y^4
i'm just confused as to how to get to that answer. i've tried some things, but they aren't working. This question is from textbook Algebra and Trigonometry

=(x^2)^2
=x^4-2x^2y^2+y^4
