 Answer by Boreal(15235)
      (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! this is log 2{ (x-6)^2/4}=4 or log 2 (x-6)^2=6, because log2 (4)=2
 2^6=(x-6)^2
 x^2-12x+36=64
 x^2-12x-28=0
 (x+2)(x-14)=0
 x=-2 and 14
 -2 will give a negative log, so that root is ignored.
 x=14 ANSWER
 check
 2 log2 (8)-log2 (4)=2*3-2=4, which checks.
