Question 1076697: You solve a homework problem using your calculator and want to check your answer with the solution in the back of the book. Your calculator gives you the answer "0.3535353535" right before the batteries die and the screen goes blank. You frantically press the ON button, but it will not come back to life! If the back of the book says 4/11, is your answer corredt? Explain how you will decide without finding another calculator.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! .
1. I am not an idiot, entirely depending on a calculator only. I am able to make a long division.
And when I do it, I see that the offered answer is wrong.
2. To prove that the offered answer is wrong, simply multiply the LARGER value 0.36 by 11, and you will get the number 3.96, which is SMALLER than 4.
It is enough to deny the offered answer as FALSE.
