Question 1074668: A triangle consists of the following : (not a right angled triangle)
70 degrees angle and 7cm hypotenuse. The adjacent side is unknown.
The area of the triangle is 42cm^2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If not a right angled triangle, then NO HYPOTENUSE. If the triangle does have a hypotenuse, then it IS a right angled triangle.

I made a drawing anyway, done on paper not shown here. A base b, left endpoint connected to your 70 degree angle with a side 7 cm. Another triangle side opposite the 70 degree angle. All three angles drawn as acute (which might or might not be a correct assumption).

The unknown base b can be found using the given area.
%281%2F2%29b%2A7%2Asin%2870%29=42

Once you have found b, you could use Law Of Cosines to find the length of the side opposite the 70 degree angle.
