You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There are some oranges in a basket.
By adding 8/5 of the total to the basket the new total became 130.
How many oranges were in the basket?
:
let x = no. of oranges originally
x + 8%2F5x = 130
Get rid of the denominator, multiply eq by 5
5x + 8x = 5(130)
13x = 650
x = 650/13
x = 50 oranges originally in the basket
