At first I thought the answer was 4 such isosceles triangles.  
And I drew them to scale below.  But then I looked again and
noticed the words "exactly one side that measures 12 centimeters"
So I had to cross out the first and third triangles because they
have two sides equal to 12 centimeters. So the answer is 2.
