Question 1073004: How tall is a bridge if a 6-foot tall person standing 100 feet away can see the top of the bridge at an angle of 30 degrees to the horizon?
thank you. Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! b = bridge height above the person's eye level
tan(30) = b/100
b = 100*tan(30)
Add the distance from the person's eyes to the ground.
