Question 1071646: how much vacation time you get a year from one day and 1/2 per month
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! most places give you a set number of weeks for every number of years that you are there.
for example:
after 1 year, you would be entitled to 1 week a year.
after 5 years, you would be entitled to 2 weeks a year.
after 10 years you would be entitled to 3 weeks a year.
etc.
this is just an example.
it's entirely up to the discretion of your employer.
if what you are saying is that your employer entitles you to a day and a half vacation for every month that you are there, then:
in 1 year, you have worked 12 months and would be entitled to 12 * 1.5 = 18 days of vacation.
this assumes that you are allowed to carry over unused vacation time from month to month.
usually there is a maximum amount that you can carry over.
this forces you to take your vacation, rather than storing it up for future use.
usually there is a maximum amount of vacation time that you're allowed every year.
