You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
Let x be the amount invested by B.
Then A invested %282%2F3%29x, according to the condition.

The total profit equation is

x+%2B+%282%2F3%29x = 3600  --->  %285%2F3%29x = 3600  --->  x = %283%2F5%29%2A3600 = 2160.

Answer.  B should receive 2160 dollars.   A should receive 3600 - 2160 = 1440 dollars.

Check.   1440%2F2160%29 = 2%2F3.   Correct.

The solution by the other tutor is wrong.
