You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Center of mass and center of gravity are used to mean the same thing
:
The center of mass(cm) for the system has three coordinates
:
x(cm), y(cm), z(cm)
:
x(cm) = (summation using i from 1 to N of m(i)x(i)) / M, where N = 4 and M is the total mass
:
y(cm) = (summation using i from 1 to N of m(i)y(i)) / M, where N = 4 and M is the total mass
:
z(cm) = (summation using i from 1 to N of m(i)z(i)) / M, where N = 4 and M is the total mass
:
M = 2250 + 2750 + 3250 + 2500 = 10750
:
*************************************
x(cm) = 7000 / 10750 = 0,6512m
:
y(cm) = 13875 / 10750 = 1,2907m
:
z(cm) = 25375 / 10750 = 2,3605
