You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A triangle has an angle that measures 55°.
The other two angles are in a ratio of 2:3.
What are the measures of those two angles?
:
let x = the multiplier
then
2x = one angle
and
3x = another angle
:
2x + 3x + 55 = 180
5x = 180 - 55
5x = 125
x = 125/5
x = 25 is the multiplier
then, obviously
25(2) = 50 degrees is one angle
and
25(3) = 75 degrees is the other angle
:
;
check: 50 + 75 + 55 = 180
