SOLUTION: -4(3+x)+5=4(x+3)
-12-4x+5=4x+12
Can you help me with the steps? I know the answer is x=-19/8. I have tried every way I know and I can't figure out how to get to this answer.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! -12-4x+5=4x+12
on the left, -12+5 is -7
-7+4x=4x+12
-7=8x+12, moving the 4x to the right.
8x=-19, moving the 12 to the left
x=-19/8, dividing by 8.
