You can put this solution on YOUR website! 120 phones/6 hours=20 phones/hour
20 phones/2 workers=10 phones per worker per hour;
So:
400 phones/5 workers =80 phones per worker
80 phones/worker / 10 phones per worker per hour=8 hours for 5 workers to pack 400 phones. ☺☺☺☺
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2 workers pack 120 phones in 6 hours. how long will 5 workers to pack 400 phones if they work at the same rate?
-----
time is directly related to # of phones and indirectly
related to # of workers::
t = k*p/w
-------------------
Solve for "k" using "2 workers pack 120 phones in 6 hours".
6 = k*120/2
----
k = 1/10
------------
Equation:
t = (1/10)*p/w
-------
"how long will 5 workers to pack 400 phones if they work at the same rate?"
t = (1/10)*400/5
----
time = 8 hours
