: I would appreciate it if u could explain maybe step by step how to solve this problem or at least on like it, and thank you in advanced!
(1/3)^x = 243
i have attempted this problem and i have got it down to (1/3)^x = 27^9
but i am not sure if i am doing this correctly.
And thank you once again. This question is from textbook Discovering Advanced Algebra
You can put this solution on YOUR website! (1/3)^x = 243
---------
Try to get both sides expressed as a power of 3.
3^-x = 3^5
Since the bases are the same the exponents must be equal.
-x = 5
x = -5
