i'm stuck on a few problems where i have tied many different equations and end up with a decimal.
i'm having trouble finding the equation that hasn't been directly said. for example-
A library contains 2,000 books, nonfiction and fiction. one of the equations would be n+f=2,000.
i was able to solve that problem with ease. i'm stuck on this question.-
"Veronica has been saving dimes and quarters. she has 94 coins in all, and the total value is $19.30.
how many dimes and how many quarters does she have?" please help.

Veronica.
Let Q be the number of quarters.
Then the number of dimes is (94-Q).
Quarters contribute 25Q cents to the total.
Dimes contribute 10*(94-Q).
The "value" equation is
25Q + 10*(94-Q) = 1930 cents.
Simplify and solve for Q:
25Q + 940 - 10Q = 1930.
15Q = 1930-940 ---> 15Q = 990 ---> Q = = 66.
Answer. 66 quarters and 94-66 = 28 dimes.
