w = number of white sharks
h = number of hammerhead shards.

w = h + 341 (first equation)
w + h = 597 (second equation)

replace w in the second equation with h + 341 from the first equation.
second equation becomes (h + 341) + h = 597
solve for h to get h = 128.

w = h + 341 becomes w = 128 + 341 which becomes w = 469

w + h becomes 469 + 128 = 597

solution looks good.
