Question 106436: I really love how you all take the time to help us students. Thank you all once again. I sent in a graphing question but waiting on the answer, but have a similar one here as well. I need to be able to graph these four feasible regions of the system: (a) x ≤ (1/2) y, x + y ≤ 1000, x ≥ 0, y ≥ 0 . Some of the problems I am having are that even if I do find an on-line calculator, I am also unable to copy it by right clicking. The two main problems are being able to copy graph and finding the right calculator(s). Can you help me with this problem please?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
graph these four feasible regions of the system: (a) x ≤ (1/2) y, x + y ≤ 1000, x ≥ 0, y ≥ 0
-----------------
You need to graph the boundaries of the inequalities which are
always EQUALITIES:
Graph:
For x<=(1/2)y, graph the boundary of y>=2x which is y=2x.
Shade the half-plane above the boundary line.
--------------
For x+y<=1000, graph the boundary of y<=-x+1000 which is y=-x+1000
Shade the half-plane below the boundary line.
----------------------
For x>=0 shade the half-plane to the right of the boundary which is x=0.
---------
For y>=0, shade the half-plane above the boundary which is y=0.
-----------
The graph is the intersection of all these shaded half-planes plus
the boundaries of this intersection.
