Question 1063457: My problem :Jane went to the grocery store with $10 in her pocket. She wants to purchase as many 12-packs of soda that she can. One 12-pack costs $3.20 and the sales tax is 8%. How many 12-packs can Jane purchase? (this isn't the exact question.. but i just put in different names and a different scenario, but ke-pt the same numbers.)
Know... i tried hard on this question but still getting trouble.. Pls help D:
I tried changing $10 into 0.10, and changing 8% into 0.08, then i multiplyed some other numbers with other numbers, divided subtracted and..AHH. I
screwed up. XD

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 3.20 + (3.20 * 0.08) = 3.456 approximately 3.46
:
Each 12-pack of soda will cost her $3.46
:
10 / 3.46 = 2.8902
:
She has enough money to buy 2 12-packs but not enough for 3
