You can put this solution on YOUR website! 5x^2+38x=63, I am assuming the same number is squared and later multiplied by 38.
5x^2+38x-63=0
(5x-7)(x+9)=0
5x=7
x=7/5 ANSWER
square it and get 49/25
multiply by 5, 49/5
add it to 38*7/5=266/5
add those together and get 315/5=63
You can put this solution on YOUR website! if five times the square of a positive number is added to the product of 38 and a number, the result is 63. Find the number
-----
Equation:
5*x^2 + 38x = 63
---------------
5x^2 + 38x - 63 = 0
----
5x^2 + 45x - 7x - 63 = 0
-------
5x(x+9) - 7(x+9) = 0
---------------------------
(5x-7)(x+9) = 0
----
x = 7/5 (Note: The solution must be a positive number)
